August Mare assessments in parallel with/at all BEF Futurity 2017 venues/dates
9-10 September Great British Mare & Foal Show (Qualifier & Championship) + Futurity Dressage & Show Jumping Elite/Higher First Champs (Venue TBC)

2017 British Breeders Network Shows & Events

This year British Breeders’ Network are running 4 Regional Mare, Foal & Young-stock Shows with Qualifiers + a Great British Mare & Foal Show Championship, open to all British-bred horses and ponies – including young-stock for the first time this year. The  GBMFS Championship Show will have qualifiers in the morning for those not already qualified. There will also be a Futurity Championship for dressage and show-jumping youngsters and their dams, that scored Elite or Higher First Premium at any Futurity since 2014. We will also be offering mare evaluations running alongside all Futurity venues and dates this year.

Regional + GBMFS Championship Show Dates / Venues

  • 29 July a.m. Richmond Arena, North Yorkshire – Qualifier
  • 29 July p.m. Croft Top E.C. Lancashire – Qualifier
  • 30 July Wellington Riding, Hampshire – Qualifier
  • 09 Sept. Moreton Morrell College Warwickshire – Qualifier + GBMFS Championships

All BBN Show Class Fees / Eligibility

  • Entry fees for all qualifier classes are £20 per horse for members or £25 for non-members
  • Make sure you are logged when entering online if you are eligible for the members discount
  • If you’re not a member yet you can join JOIN HERE. Breeder Membership costs £30 p.a.
  • Horses placed 1st to 3rd in Qualifying classes are eligible for championships at no extra cost

09 September Futurity Championships Fees / Eligibility

  • Futurity Championship fees for all eligible foals, young-stock and dams cost £10 each
  • Dressage + jumping foals, youngsters scoring Elite or Higher First since 2014 + dams are eligible
  • Entries can be completed online or by post for BBN and Futurity Championship classes
  • Online entry forms coming soon for Futurity Championships

Show Entry Forms

  • Entries can be completed online or by post for all classes
  • ENTER ONLINE here. You can choose to pay online or send a cheque
  • If you would prefer to print off a form and enter by post click here
  • Postal entries must be received at least one week before the show date
  • Late online entries + on the day entries MAY be accepted if numbers allow
  • We’ve simplified online entries for 2017 so you enter the animal, not the class

Show Schedules / Classes

Foal, Youngstock aged 1 – 3 years, and Mare classes will be split by gender, discipline & type. The latter 2 will also split by age. Some classes may combine if there are insufficient disciplines or types to warrant split classes. Foal classes will run first, followed by mares, then yearlings, 2, and 3 year olds. We will publish final schedule / class numbers / times once total entry numbers are known. Meantime classes are likely to be as shown below:

Classes will be further split by gender (fillies, colts, geldings, stallions and mares) and breed types e.g. warm-blood / sports horses, Thoroughbreds / TBX, heritage breeds, Arabs and ponies. Young-stock and Mares classes will also be split by age.

BBN REGIONAL SHOWS & EVENTS SERIES

British Breeders’ Network is pleased to announce we have a full series of Regional Shows and Events during August and September 2016, including 4 Mare & Foal Shows in conjunction with BHHS during early August + 6 Mare Shows in conjunction with the BEF Futurity during late August, our first ever FOAL SALE DAY at Keysoe at the end of August and our Championship Show (originally at Addington) at Keysoe in early September. Entries are open to both members and non-members. Members enjoy reduced entry fees.

The BBN show series culminates in our Championship Show – THE GREAT BRITISH MARE & FOAL SHOW – at The College E.C.Keysoe, Bedfordshire on 2nd September with top UK ad International judges in attendance and ££££’s of pounds of prize money on offer.
