Madam Genius (chestnut filly born 15 May 2017) is for sale.

She has so much presence she is mesmerising. She is clever, athletic, bold yet sweet, and very beautiful with super conformation. She is quite simply going to be one pretty amazing horse when she matures. Expected height at maturity approx. 17.2hh.

Her breeding is, of course, her sire U-Genius, who combines the bloodlines of 2 outstanding gold medallists, Valegro and Uthopia, while her dam lines bring the refinement and beauty of the Florestan II descendant Mont du Cantal AA on the iconic dressage lines of Donnerhall and Rubinstein. A particular highlight is the dam line, which not only produced competition winnings of almost 1.5 m Euros, but also over 40 licensed stallions, including Wolkentaenzer, Wolkenstein and the famous Brentano. To summarise; this filly is a super combination of some of the best bloodlines available in modern dressage.

Please message for further information, serious enquiries only - and good home very important. Based in Gloucestershire, GB.

Absolutely top quality filly foal for sale. This one is purpose bred for eventing and looks every inch the event horse.

She's by Persiflage, a 3*** eventer himself who is by the legendary Primitive Rising and from the motherline of Tamarillo who won Badminton 4**** with William Fox-Pitt.

Her dam is by Uptons Deli Circus. He won European YR eventing gold and has sired 4**** eventers.

Her motherline is also outstanding. It has produced a 4**** and Olympic eventer and a Horse of the Year Show supreme champion.

You really don't find many horses bred like this any more. So many 'eventers' are dressage horses without enough movement or jumpers without enough jump. This one is bred to event and comes from generations of the best bloodlines that are sane enough to do dressage, brave enough to go cross country and careful enough to do showjumping.

The filly that's for sale is the dark bay. I've included a photo of her yearling full sister (chestnut) so you can get an idea of how she will look when she's older. There's also a photo of her granddam (grey) who was a Rolls Royce of a bloodhounding horse and competed very successfully up to PSG. Finally there's a photo of her sire flying over a XC fence.

This filly has it all. She won't disappoint you!

Expected to make around 16.2-16.3hh.
OIRO £4750.

The conversation going on at the British Breeding closed group about Friday's AES foal auction is not shareable - or we would have done so - however one comment from Edel Fitzpatrick out of the nearly 250 and still climbing, resonated with lots of you and attracted a lot of positive comments, so here it is:

"Edel Fitzpatrick: Lots of comments on here, some supportive and some, from the same moany bints, are completely unnecessary. If I came on here and posted about British riders all being useless, there would be uproar, but people feel it's fine to take a pop at British breeders accusing them of breeding rubbish, using any old mares, etc and it's such nonsense. What British horse owners need to realise is that British breeders are working for YOUR best interests. Isn't it fantastic one can go to Caroline Ironside up in Scotland or Lorna Wilson down in Devon and a hundred other places in between to see top stock bred with love and care by people who speak English and won't dismiss you as an easy touch from the UK? Trust me, when you go abroad to buy thats how most sellers see you. Isn't it wonderful that there are so many breeders in the UK who can tell you the entire life story of their foals, who are dedicated to providing top vet care, farriery, etc so that you can acquire a healthy, well developed youngster? Many yards abroad don't bother with vaccinations, feet, worming, they are considered unnecessary expenses. Aren't we lucky to have people like Eva Broomer, Sacha Shaw, Lynne Crowden who work tirelessly to further British breeding and are always so helpful and gracious when asked to share their knowledge? You will find few people abroad as willing to help as British breeders, I also know that from experience. So instead of running down the amazing youngsters that are being bred in this country and tootling off to Germany or Holland to have your pockets emptied on a horse that will have had an extra zero added to the price when they hear you are English, let's all get behind the wonderful work and initiatives here in the UK that aim to produce good horses for British people to ride! If they are good enough for Spencer and Charlotte and Carl and a host of other top riders, then they are certainly good enough for the average British amateur."

Thank you Edel
