Photographs by Kevin Sparrow from last weekend’s July GBMFS regional shows at Richmond Arena, North Yorkshire, Croft Top Equestrian, Lancashire and Wellington Riding, Hampshire; are now available to view online on the photographer’s website at

Kevin has kindly offered to reduce his prices by 10% off his standard show photography prices for all BBN show entrants. However,  as his website is currently not set up to handle discounts at the time of order, you need to pay the standard price and leave a message in the comments box stating the BBN show you attended and the name of the horse entered. Kevin is an internationally recognised equine photographer with a real passion for horses. In response to last minute enquiries we are holding online entries open for a further 24 hours – until 9 a.m. SUNDAY MORNING – so get your entries in now as the show catalogue with classes, times and competitor bridle numbers goes to print on Monday. We will email ALL entrants with details of their class information by Monday. Entries MAY be available ‘on the day’ but will not make the catalogue, so if your youngster is for sale and you want us to help you promote it, enter NOW. If you’re thinking of entering on the day, please contact the show secretary on 07836 235981 or email us at before travelling to avoid disappointment.


  1. In addition to all 1st – 3rd placed horses qualifying for our GBMFYS Championship Show at Moreton Morrell on 09 September, there will also be a SHOW SUPREME award at all our regional qualifier shows with Champion and Reserve Champion rosettes being given to the top placed horse and reserve across all age groups, genders and disciplines. So, no matter if you’ve got a heritage or a warmblood, a show pony or a stallion, a dressage mare or showjumping 3-year-old gelding, YOU could be in with a chance of winning the Regional Supreme title and going home with a beautiful Champion rosette and a bottle of ‘bubbly’ to celebrate your win.
  2. At our Wellington Show on 30th July at approx. 11 a.m. a special short demo / seminar on “how to prepare and present your horse at Futurity” will be run after the youngstock classes (yearlings, 2 and 3 Year-olds) and before the foals and broodmare classes. Meantime, for details of what to expect on the day at any of our shows you can read our “Presentation Guide” document here which includes what to wear (you + the  horse) what will happen when enter the arena + loose jumping class details.

All shows open to British-bred mares 4+ years, foals and youngstock 1-3 years of all breeds: ponies, natives, warmbloods, sports-horses, TBs etc. All N.West, N.East, Midlands & S.England Regional shows are qualifiers for the GBMFYS: Great British Mare Foal & Youngstock Show Championship. All Classes are In-Hand. We may combine /split by age /gender /type /discipline, depending on entries received. Fees for all Regional Qualifier classes are £20 /horse for members or £25 /horse for non-members. 1st – 3rd placed horses qualify for the September GBMFYS Championships (no entry fees). Affordable show video and photography services + day /overnight stabling are available @ extra cost at all shows.

BEF Futurity Dressage + Show Jumping entrants; foals and youngstock aged 1-3 years, scoring Elite or Higher First Premium at any Futurity since 2014, qualify for the GBMFYS & FUTURITY CHAMPIONSHIPS in September. Dams of eligible foals and youngstock are eligible for the Futurity Mare Championship. All Classes are In-Hand. We may combine /split by age /gender /type /discipline depending on entries received. Fees for Futurity Championship classes are £10 /horse for all members /non-members. Affordable show video and photography services + day /overnight stabling are available @ extra cost at all shows. BBN is also offering mare assessments in parallel with / at all BEF Futurity 2017 venues.

FOR SALE entrants at any GBMFYS or Futurity Championship will be highlighted in the Show Catalogue, announced in the show-ring, get a dedicated sales page on our website and get mentioned in posts on our Facebook & Twitter social media. You will be asked if your animal is for sale when entering classes. If it is, we will then email you a request for more information so we can promote it for you. Affordable show video and photography services + day /overnight stabling are available @ extra cost at all shows, for prospective purchasers to view your horse while at the show. Early class entry is recommended so we can get your horse sales page prepared and online ASAP including the line: SEE US AT XXX SHOW.
